I'm not sure if I like these or not. The icing is very good but VERY sweet -- it basically tastes like non-cold lemon sorbet (I might have gone a little overboard with the lemon zest, hee). The cake itself is super-super light, like an angelfood cake. Well, duh Nina! It's sponge cake. I'm going to try a gold butter cake recipe tonight. But! Still.
